Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care tasks on the Advanced Acute Care Surgical Trauma Unit as directed by the registered nurse, including obtaining and maintaining specimen integrity, performing EKGs, and assisting with activities of daily living. Transport blood and blood products to and from the Blood Bank as needed, provide one-to-one patient safety watch, and troubleshoot equipment maintenance while ensuring adequate supplies are available. Complete assigned clerical responsibilities and comply with all organization policies and procedures. This per diem rotation role requires availability for a minimum two-week orientation and offers up to $3 shift differentials for evening, nights, and weekends, with financial support available for RN certification.
