NURSING ASSISTANT/PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN - MED SURG 4AB

Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN; assist with activities of daily living and patient care needs; respond to call lights and inquiries; collect and report patient care data; measure intake/output and daily weights; obtain and manage patient care equipment; transport patients; perform/assist with skills such as vital signs, EKG, catheter care, sterile technique, and other duties to support patient safety and care quality; conduct hourly rounds and support education to promote health and self-care; collaborate with the healthcare team, participate in performance improvement activities, and act as a patient advocate and mentor to new hires; maintain infection control, facility policies, and regulatory readiness; demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication to ensure continuous patient care and safety.
