Job Summary
Nursing Assistant Oncology role assisting under RN supervision with direct patient care in an oncology unit. Responsibilities include performing personal care (feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming), assisting with mobility and positioning, collecting and documenting vital signs and observations, managing patient comfort (hydration, nutrition, linens), aiding in admissions/transfers/discharges, transporting medications (as allowed), and contributing to a safe, compliant care environment. Requires CNA program completion or clinical rotations, or related nursing-training program, and current Basic Life Support certification. Day/night 8-hour shifts, part-time schedule (.6 FTE per two weeks), every other weekend, working at United Hospital in Saint Paul, MN. Pay range $21.33–$27.78 per hour with applicable shift differentials and union considerations. Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age OR 17 years of age with high school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program OR completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program OR completion of the Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program OR previous direct patient care experience
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association OR current BLS certification from the American Red Cross OR Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire
