Job Summary
Nursing Assistant supporting older adult/geriatric medical-surgical patients on a shift with 24 or 36 hours per week. Provides personal care, assists with activities of daily living, delivers comfort and transportation, monitors vital signs, and helps prepare treatment spaces while ensuring patient safety. Responsible for patient comfort, hygiene, and facilitating effective communications with the health care team. Performs documentation in Cerner, assists with ambulation, transfers, and room readiness, and supports front desk functions as needed. Requires completion of a nurse aide program or equivalent experience; BLS certification within 3 months of hire is preferred. Schedule is days, 6:45am–7:15pm, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a 75-hour state approved Nurse Assistant course or 6 months Nurse Assistant experience required
- Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire
