Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including turning, repositioning, and transport. Conduct data collection by monitoring vital signs, documenting fluid intake and output, and performing basic and sterile specimen collection. Provide patient care as delegated by the RN, such as non-sterile soaks, simple dressings, perineal care, and point of care testing. Ensure patient safety through fall prevention interventions, safe patient handling, and comfort measures. Informs the RN of all observations, changes in patient status, and lab values. Runs errands, answers call lights, and maintains a clean patient environment.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program
- Current or former state CN A certification as proof of completed state required training at time of hire
- Basic computer skills / Data entry skills
- Mathematical skills
- Working knowledge of patient equipment (suction, vitals, defib)
- Night shift availability
