Job Summary
Provide direct and non-direct patient care under supervision, including observing, obtaining, and reporting patient data to assigned RNs while responding to acuity changes and emergent situations. Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher, perform general receptionist and clerical duties, and function as an observer for patients requiring constant safety monitoring. Verify patient identification, conduct safety rounds using SBAR principles, and adhere to universal precautions and hand hygiene guidelines. Maintain BLS certification, operate required software applications, and serve as a preceptor for new employees. Available for full-time evening or night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
- INSTRUCTOR- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- INSTRUCTOR- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Basic medical terminology
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately
- Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals
- Available shifts: FT evenings - 8-hour shifts
- Available shifts: FT Nights - 12-hour shifts
- Available shifts: FT Nights - 8-hour shifts
- Available shifts: FT Nights - 2 12-hour shifts, 2 8-hour shifts
- Rotating weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
