Job Summary
Provides patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. Assists nurses with treatments and procedures, supports activities of daily living and personal hygiene, helps ensure comfort for patients, records input/output and vital signs, assists with admissions and discharges, and coordinates with hospital departments. Maintains infection control practices, uses medical equipment appropriately, communicates with patients, families, and staff, acts as a patient advocate, and works as a collaborative team member to maintain a safe, clean environment. Education/experience noted: High School Diploma/GED preferred; Nursing Assistant course or equivalent preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
