Job Summary
Assist in the safe treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures while adhering to the age of patients served on the unit. Maintain knowledge of safety and infection control practices, utilize computer systems or leverage prior clerical experience, and ensure BLS or CPR/AED training from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. This role requires completion of a Nursing Assistant program, BOCES, or Military Hospital Corps School with current New York State CNA certification or equivalent nursing fundamentals experience.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Nursing Assistant program, BOCES or Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent with current New York State CNA certification
- completion of a Nursing fundamentals course or equivalent within a RN program
- minimum of 1 years' experience working as a Nursing Assistant
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of safety and infection control practices
- Knowledge of computer systems
- prior clerical experience
- BLS or CPR/AED training
- CPR/AED training from American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program
- CPR/AED training from American Red Cross - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
