Job Summary
Perform routine patient care, support, and services in accordance with legal scope of practice and established standards. Integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare providers. Exercise sound judgment and clinical skills to support the patient's plan of care based on diagnosis. Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal care. Prioritize assignments, work within standardized policies, and resolve problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options. Build collaborative relationships with peers and providers to achieve departmental objectives. Work independently and as part of a team, accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- Proficiency in fundamental patient-care techniques

- routine medical equipment use
- Knowledge of appropriate emergency care for role (i.e. chest compressions, dialing 911)
- Ability to follow instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain patient care information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
