Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care including oral care, bathing, toileting, and mobility assistance. Perform ADLs, infection prevention, and fall prevention while monitoring vital signs, EKGs, and glucose levels. Assist with meal delivery, specimen collection, and patient transport. Provide safety attendant coverage, respond to alarms, and update EMR documentation. Collaborate with nursing teams to report patient changes and perform shifts reports. Prepare rooms for admissions and discharges, maintain decluttered care areas, and deliver supplies. Transport patients on/off unit and respond to emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one-year direct patient care experience at an acute care hospital, long term care facility, rehabilitation facility or licensed home care facility/agency
- Completion of one year of RN school from an approved ADN or BSN program where a minimum of 30 hours of clinical patient care was performed
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), license must be current
- EMT certification with less than 1 year volunteer experience, certification must be current
- BLS Certification within 6 months from date of hire
