Job Summary
Deliver direct patient care by performing activities of daily living, including bathing, oral care, toileting, and mobility assistance. Monitor patient safety by responding to alarms, conducting intentional rounding, and providing bedside safety attendants for suicide precautions. Collect and document vital signs, EKGs, and intake/output data in the EMR while assisting with meal delivery and specimen collection. Transport patients, prepare rooms for admissions and discharges, and communicate patient status changes to the nursing team. Maintain infection prevention and skin integrity protocols while adhering to regulatory compliance and safe patient handling policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one-year direct patient care experience at an acute care hospital, long term care facility, rehabilitation facility or licensed home care facility/agency
- Completion of one year of RN school from an approved ADN or BSN program where a minimum of 30 hours of clinical patient care was performed
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), license must be current
- EMT certification with less than 1 year volunteer experience, certification must be current
- BLS Certification within 6 months from date of hire
