Job Summary
Deliver direct patient care by performing activities of daily living including oral care, bathing, incontinence management, and meal assistance. Monitor patient safety by setting alarms, conducting intentional rounding, and acting as a safety attendant for suicide precautions. Collect vital signs, document data in the EMR, and perform delegated clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and blood glucose checks. Assist with patient mobility through turning, ambulation, and the use of lift equipment while maintaining infection prevention and pressure injury protocols. Transport patients, respond to emergencies, and communicate patient status changes to the nursing team.
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification within 6 months of hire date
- High School Diploma or GED
- Heavy Work - Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
- Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, typing/clerical/dexterity, kneeling, repetitive motion
- Frequent grasping, hearing, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing/monitor/computer use, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception), walking
- Constant fit testing
