Job Summary
Conduct patient care activities including proper hygienic care, assisting with hydration and nutrition, ambulation, and transportation of patients. Participate in a four-week training period available Monday through Friday, followed by a rotating weekend schedule. Engage in therapeutic communication and assist in emergency situations while utilizing hands-on clinical training supplemented by classroom-style learning. Receive BLS certification and fully paid orientation at the position rate. Commit to a one-year agreement upon successful completion of the program.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Passion for patient care
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to learn
- Available Monday through Friday during the four-week training period
- Available for rotating weekend schedule after training
- Agreement to a 1-year commitment period working at St. Francis Hospital upon successful completion of the training program
Desired Qualifications
- Customer Service experience
- Caregiver experience
- Demonstrated interest and/or exposure to healthcare
