Job Summary
Conduct basic patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation while ensuring telemetry heart monitors remain properly connected and functioning. Assist patients with mobility by helping them get in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices. Observe patients for physical changes like shortness of breath or altered mental status and immediately notify nursing staff of any alarms or concerns. Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate or within 6 months of hire and maintain current
Desired Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office
