Job Summary
Nursing Assistant needed for 36-hour weekly Full Time days/evenings on the Advanced Acute Care Orthopedic Telemetry Unit (GSWB) in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Responsibilities include direct patient care within the nursing assistant scope, clerical duties to support the unit, documenting patient needs, reporting changes to licensed personnel, obtaining and transporting specimens to the laboratory, point-of-care testing, coordinating patient transportation, admissions/transfers/discharges, and providing one-to-one patient safety watch. The role also involves assisting with care plans, teamwork and communication across the care team, and mentoring new staff as a preceptor. Education required: High School Diploma or GED; Basic Life Support certification within 6 months. Experience: minimum 1 year preferred.
