Job Summary
Nursing Assistant (CNA) role in Acute Care under RN supervision, performing ADLs, ambulation, vital signs, and basic patient care; may require advanced skills such as phlebotomy, dressing changes, oral suctioning, and Foley catheter removal; performs clerical tasks (data retrieval, supply transport, medication logistics); emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, HIPAA compliance, and effective communication within a fast-paced healthcare team; supports care planning and escalation to RN as needed; requires completion of CNA program and BLS certification, with potential for both full-time and part-time shifts.
Required Qualifications
- All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Graduation from a State approved program for Certified Nursing Assistants or Patient Care Tech Program Upon Hire
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed directions
- Clear verbal and written communication, specifically ability to document
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Wellstar minimum age of hire is 16
