Job Summary
Support care delivery under the direction of the RN to promote a positive patient experience. Assist with activities of daily living, ambulation, and vital signs; may perform advanced skills such as phlebotomy, simple treatments, dressing changes, oral suctioning, and Foley catheter removal as unit needs dictate. Perform clerical tasks (data retrieval, supply transport, medication transport) and maintain clear communication with the healthcare team. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, adhere to HIPAA and safety protocols, participate in hourly rounds, and document patient care in the EMR. Emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, safety, and professional nursing practices (AIDET, PPE, infection control).
Required Qualifications
- All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Graduation from a State approved program for Certified Nursing Assistants or Patient Care Tech Program Upon Hire
- Wellstar minimum age of hire is 16.
