Job Summary
Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Acute Care at Wellstar. The role supports the nurse and healthcare team in delivering patient-centered care, assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, and basic clinical tasks. Requires potential advanced skills such as phlebotomy, dressing changes, and Foley catheter management as unit needs dictate; requires strong communication, multitasking, and compassionate patient interactions. Full-time and part-time schedules available in a fast-paced hospital environment; provides patient care under RN supervision and participates in care delivery, safety protocols, and documentation. Minimum education includes high school diploma or GED; BLS certification and completion of an approved CNA/PCT program are required upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Graduation from a State approved program for Certified Nursing Assistants or Patient Care Tech Program Upon Hire
- All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated
- Rising Senior in Good Standing Other or High School Diploma General-Preferred or GED General-Preferred
