Job Summary
Provide direct care to skilled nursing facility residents by assisting with personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. Recognize changes in resident condition and promptly report them to the shift nurse, while identifying safety hazards and initiating corrective actions. Prevent abuse of vulnerable adults and address problems related to the aging process. Maintain awareness of safety issues and strive to accomplish all responsibilities in a manner conducive to resident safety and comfort.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry or obtains within 4 months of hire/ transfer date
- If transitioning from the Nursing Assistant – Student position, must have registration upon hire/transfer
- Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for holidays
- Must be able to work day shifts (0600 - 1430)
- Must be able to work rotation shifts
- Must be able to work in the United States of America
