Job Summary
Nursing Assistant Certified (CNA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance in long-term care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, psychosocial support, transfers and mobility, range of motion, documenting care and resident condition, assisting with meals, following infection prevention and PPE protocols, and supporting wellness and recreational activities. Requires CNA certification and ongoing training; familiarity with care plans, documentation, and state CNA requirements; ability to work as part of the nursing team in a long-term care setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED (preferred but not required)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or currently enrolled in a CNA training program
- CNA training and certification provided by the facility
- Willingness to complete yearly competency testing and continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually)
- Medically qualified to perform essential driving functions if applicable per policy
- Must be at least 16 years old
