Job Summary
Nursing Assistant Certified (PRN) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to residents in long-term care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with basic health care needs, monitoring and recording vital signs, infection prevention and PPE use, helping with transfers, range of motion and passive exercises, assisting with meals, documenting resident interactions, communicating changes to the charge nurse, and supporting wellness and recreational activities. Requires CNA certification, ability to work per care plan, and adherence to facility policies; position may involve driving as per policy. PRN schedule with varying shifts and hours, in a not-for-profit long-term care facility serving seniors in Lakota, ND.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA training and certification provided by facility
- High school graduate or GED preferred but not required
- Minimum age of 16
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains continuing education credits (min 12 hours annually)
- Medically qualified to perform essential driving functions if applicable per Sanford Driving Policy
- Possesses or obtains required state licensure/registry as applicable (UAP Registry where required)
