Job Summary
Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance in long-term care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include helping with basic health care needs, documenting resident interactions, monitoring and recording vital signs, assisting with transfers and mobility, providing range of motion exercises, aiding meals and dining, supporting psychosocial well-being, and participating in wellness activities. The role requires infection prevention and PPE use, adherence to care plans, and collaboration with nursing staff. May be eligible for Sanford Category II Driver duties where applicable; requires a valid driver's license and background checks. Shift is 12 hours with PRN scheduling; facilities offer a comprehensive benefits package for eligible staff.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
