Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered care in long-term care under RN supervision, including daily living activities, vital signs, infection prevention, and documentation. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, transfers, range of motion, meal assistance, and supporting psychosocial needs; participates in wellness/recreational activities; maintains safety and quality standards and adheres to PPE and infection control policies. CNA certification required and training provided by the facility; competency testing and continuing education are part of the role. Position is PRN with varying shifts at the Lakota, ND and Cooperstown, ND facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- CNA training and certification provided by facility
- Minimum age 16
- Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing and maintains 12 hours CE annually
- Possession or pursuit of CNA certification within four months of hire (state-specific)
- Possess/be registered with Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) registry where applicable
