Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision in long-term care, performing activities such as assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, mobility transfers, ROM exercises, meals and dining support, documentation of resident interactions, and participation in wellness and recreational programs while adhering to care plans, infection prevention protocols, and PPE use.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver’s license
