Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living support in long-term care under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, assisting with transfers and range of motion, helping with meals, documenting resident interactions and care outcomes, and participating in infection prevention and PPE use. Requires knowledge of geriatric care and ability to support psychosocial needs; adherence to care plans and safety protocols; potential involvement in wellness/recreational programs and committee work. Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED (preferred).
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
