Job Summary
Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse. Delivers basic health care needs including vital signs, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, transferring, range of motion, and assistance with meals while documenting care and supporting psychosocial well-being. Maintains infection prevention practices and uses PPE; collaborates with nursing staff, participates in wellness programs, and supports residents’ quality of life. Requires CNA certification (facility provides CNA training and certification) and ongoing continuing education; high school diploma or GED preferred but not required. 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and rotating holidays; minimum age 16; comprehensive benefits and sign-on bonus offered.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Minimum age of 16
