Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under RN supervision. Perform tasks including bathing, toileting, grooming, vital sign recording, transfers, repositioning, and range of motion exercises. Assist with food preparation, dining, and meal services while documenting interactions and collecting specimens. Support wellness and recreational programs and maintain clean living areas through housekeeping and laundry duties. Follow infection prevention policies and communicate resident concerns to the charge nurse. Complete yearly competency testing and maintain required continuing education credits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (when applicable)
- Motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license (when applicable)
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
