Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant serves as a caregiver to residents during scheduled 12-hour shifts in a long-term care setting, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, infection prevention and PPE use, transfers and mobility, range of motion and passive exercises, assisting with meals, documenting resident interactions and care outcomes, participating in wellness programs, and supporting housekeeping and laundry tasks as needed. Requires CNA certification and ongoing competency/CE requirements; includes a $10k sign-on bonus and full-time benefits; shift pattern includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- CNA training and certification provided by the facility
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually)
- May be licensed/registered with Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry where applicable
- Possession of valid driver’s license if required by facility ( Sanford Driving Policy )
