Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under RN supervision, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs collection, and psychosocial support. Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, range of motion exercises, and meal preparation while documenting interactions, behaviors, and dietary needs. Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens, aid providers with procedures, and maintain clean living areas through housekeeping and laundry services. Communicate changing conditions and care concerns to the charge nurse and participate in wellness programs and departmental committees. Full-time evening shift with 40 weekly hours and a $5,000 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (when applicable)
- Motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license (when applicable)
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
