Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse. Perform tasks including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with transfers and range of motion exercises. Support food preparation and dining while documenting resident interactions, behaviors, and dietary needs. Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens, provide psychosocial support, and maintain living areas through housekeeping and laundry services. Complete yearly competency testing and maintain required certifications. Full-time evening shift with a $5,000 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (when applicable)
- Motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license (when applicable)
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
