Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under registered nurse supervision. Perform tasks including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with transfers, repositioning, and range of motion exercises. Support food preparation and dining while collecting non-invasive body fluid specimens and documenting resident interactions, behaviors, and dietary needs. Communicate changing conditions and care concerns to the charge nurse and maintain living areas through housekeeping and laundry services. Participate in wellness and recreational programs and complete annual competency testing with required continuing education. Shifts are 8-hour evening rotations with a full-time schedule of 40 hours weekly. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required, with training provided by the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (when applicable)
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Medically qualified to perform essential driving functions
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
