Job Summary
Conduct resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance for assigned residents under RN supervision, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs collection, and psychosocial support. Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, range of motion exercises, and meal preparation while maintaining infection prevention policies. Document resident interactions, care outcomes, and dietary needs; communicate changing conditions to the charge nurse. Provide housekeeping and laundry services to keep living areas clean. Aids nursing staff with procedures as needed and encourages participation in wellness and recreational programs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (when applicable)
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
