Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under RN supervision, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and vital sign monitoring. Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range of motion exercises while collecting non-invasive specimens and documenting interactions. Support wellness and recreational programs, manage dining services, and perform housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain living areas. Communicate resident condition changes and care concerns to the charge nurse, adhering to infection prevention policies. Maintain competency through annual testing and 12 hours of continuing education. Evening shift, 40 hours weekly, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (when applicable)
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
