Job Summary
Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, transferring and repositioning residents, range of motion and passive exercises, assisting with meals, documenting resident interactions and care outcomes, communicating changes to the charge nurse, supporting infection prevention and PPE use, and contributing to wellness and recreational programs. Requires CNA certification and ongoing continuing education as specified; role may involve driving duties per Sanford policy.
Required Qualifications
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
