Job Summary
Nursing Assistant (CNA) role focused on overnight resident care in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision, performing rounds, transferring and repositioning residents, assisting with meals, recording vital signs, documenting interactions, and contributing to infection prevention and safety. Requires CNA certification and applicable state certification within training window, plus ongoing competency testing and continuing education. Must be able to work independently during night shifts, communicate effectively with the nursing team, and support calming, dementia-sensitive care. Minimum age 16; high school diploma or GED preferred. Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $25.50 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on available for eligible candidates; location in Park River, ND, USA. The position is full-time, 40 hours/week, with night shift responsibilities at Sanford Health, a large rural health system serving the upper Midwest.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Medically qualified to perform essential driving functions per Sanford Driving Policy when applicable
- Minimum age of 16
