Job Summary
Conduct patient care support in Emergency and Med-Surg units at Good Samaritan University Hospital's new Patient Care Pavilion. Maintain current New York State CNA certification, complete a Nursing Assistant program or equivalent, and hold valid BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association. Apply knowledge of safety, infection control, and computer systems to daily duties. This role supports the hospital's expansion into a 300,000 sq. ft. facility featuring private rooms and advanced surgical suites.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Nursing Assistant program, BOCES or Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent with current New York State CNA certification or completion of a Nursing fundamentals course or equivalent within a RN program or a minimum of 1 year experience working as a Nursing Assistant
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of safety and infection control practices
- Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience
- BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association
- No online programs from any organization will be accepted
