Job Summary
Provide direct patient care including hygiene, mobility, toileting, feeding, and positioning under RN direction. Obtain and document vital signs, intake/output, weights, specimens, and other patient data. Perform delegated clinical procedures such as blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, and venipuncture. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and procedures while maintaining supplies and equipment. Respond to patient needs and emergency situations with compassionate, respectful care. Complete first year of Nursing program with clinical rotation validation and Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. Work part-time 3rd shift on a 36-bed medical-surgical unit dedicated to post-operative management and acute/chronic condition treatment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current KY Nurse Aide Certification
- Successful completion of first year of Nursing program with validation of clinical rotation
- Basic Life Support certification (30 days from hired date to provide completion)
- Part-time availability
- 3rd shift availability
- Drug-free workplace compliance (post offer, pre-employment drug testing)
