Nursing Assistant Ambulatory Surgery - 12 Hour Days

Assist with basic nursing care tasks including toileting, changing linens, and patient hygiene while providing one-to-one safety watches and documenting physical needs. Perform point-of-care patient testing, maintain equipment, and transport non-controlled medications or blood products as directed. Manage clerical duties for admissions, transfers, and discharges, process specimens, and coordinate patient transportation to multiple tests. Mentor new staff and students, communicate with food services for dietary needs, and facilitate patient throughput activities. This role operates in the Pre- and Post-Surgical area of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, requiring a high school diploma and one year of related experience.
