Job Summary
Nursing Assistant works under the direction of a licensed nurse to provide direct patient care, including admission and discharge, and performs procedures per physician order and nursing delegation based on validation and skill. Responsibilities include identifying changes in patient condition and communicating them to the nurse, assisting with basic cares, transporting and transferring patients, and contributing to the plan of care tailored to the patient’s physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs. Requires Nurse Aide certification with North Dakota Board of Health and Basic Life Support (AHA) within specified timelines. Must have English proficiency and be able to collaborate with patients, families, and the care team in a hospital setting (Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND). This is a part-time position with opportunities for staff benefits and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Nurse Aide Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of start date
- English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
