Job Summary
Nursing Assistant II provides direct patient care under RN supervision, transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher, performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, finger stick, heel stick) with competency, serves as a patient observer (sitter) when required, maintains safety and quality standards, and participates in training and documentation across shifts in a hospital setting (Mother Infant Unit) at SSH in Weymouth/Abington, MA. Requires 12-hour night shifts, BLS and ACLS certifications, and adherence to hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education - High School Diploma/GED preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (including courses offered through SSH)
- INSTRUCTOR- ACLS (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
- INSTRUCTOR- BLS (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
- Phlebotomy competency 50-100 draws
- Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred
