Job Summary
Nursing Apprentice 1 (NA1) for Acute Care/Medical–Cardiology at Denver Health. Under an RN supervisor, the NA1 performs basic patient care activities to enhance clinical skills in a hospital setting while enrolled in an ADN or BSN program. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, documenting per guidelines, and collaborating with interprofessional teams to support throughput and Lean quality initiatives. Eligible candidates are post-high-school graduates entering nursing programs, with BLS/CPR certification and a path toward clinical competency in a fast-paced telemetry unit.
Required Qualifications
- Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program Required
- Less than 1 year Work Experience
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Must have successfully completed Med/Surg 1 at time of application with the ability to provide transcript with grade
