Nursing Adjunct Faculty - OB Specialty

Job Summary
Develop and teach didactic courses, lead simulation learning experiences, and facilitate clinical rotations that apply theory to practice. Design, implement, and evaluate the nursing education curriculum while documenting actions in faculty meetings for program review. Support student progression through academic advisement, remediation plans, and soft skills coaching in leadership, ethics, and critical thinking. Communicate daily with clinical agency representatives and Course Lead Faculty to address student needs and progress. Grade clinical papers, complete site evaluations, and maintain records on student performance and disciplinary plans. Adhere to Arizona College of Nursing policies and FERPA guidelines while participating in faculty meetings and orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree required, if the graduate degree is not in nursing must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing and a graduate degree in a related discipline from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)*
- A minimum of three (3) years' work experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care
- Holds a current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhance compact nurse licensure relevant to the state of teaching location
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching in a registered nursing program at a college or university
- Certified Nurse Educator certification
- National certification in area of nursing specialty
- Maintains professional competence/expertise in teaching through activities such as nursing practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars, academic courses, research projects and professional writing
