Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Nursery, Obstetrics, Labor and Delivery, or Postpartum unit based on established clinical protocols and physician orders. Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document findings accurately in medical records. Respond to medical emergencies, perform CPR and code team activities, and assist physicians during procedures within scope. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop care plans, educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care, and implement infection control protocols. Monitor and operate medical equipment such as IV pumps and fetal monitors while adhering to National Patient Safety Goals. Participate in audits, chart reviews, and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Maintain regular attendance and comply with all facility policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care
- Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support

- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
