Job Summary
Nurse Unit Manager for the 35-bed Neuroscience Ward at the Fitzroy campus, reporting to the General Manager/Director of Clinical Services. Lead daily operations, provide leadership to nursing staff, collaborate with surgeons and medical specialists, and drive development of clinical practice to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. Responsibilities include guiding staff to uphold standards of clinical care, building collaborative relationships with AMPs, patients, families and carers, modeling the unit’s vision and ensuring policy compliance, fostering continuous improvement and efficient resource use, and supporting a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership in neuroscience nursing, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence. Qualifications include current AHPRA RN registration and experience with IT platforms such as IBA/Webpas, Power BI, UKG, Riskman or similar.
