Job Summary
Coordinate nursing service activities on a twenty-four-hour basis, assisting with direct supervision of resident care and compliance with federal, state, and facility policies. Manage the nursing services department by developing work assignments, planning discharge procedures, and coordinating services with administration, physicians, and families. Participate in resident admissions and ensure timely notification of significant health status changes to attending physicians and families. Requires Indiana RN or LPN licensure, accredited nursing education, and experience in nursing administration or geriatric care. Required Qualifications
- Is a graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Is currently licensed by the State of Indiana as a registered or licensed practical nurse
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies
- Ability to remain calm under stress

- Ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures

Desired Qualifications
- Has experience or training in nursing services administration, rehabilitation or geriatric nursing
- Preferably, has one or more years of demonstrated ability in nursing administration and/or supervision in a health facility
