Job Summary
Nurse Technician (NT) at Mercy Rehab Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. Works under the direction of an RN or LPN to assist in individualized patient care and perform designated clinical procedures and essential support tasks. duties include assisting with ADLs (hygiene, ambulation, turning, feeding, skin care), monitoring patients for condition changes and reporting to licensed staff, supporting admissions/transfers/discharges, point-of-care testing and specimen collection as approved, accurate EMR documentation, and completing clerical duties while maintaining certifications and adherence to Mercy policies. Part-time role with two 12-hour shifts weekly; requires current High School diploma or GED, enrollment in a nursing program, and BLS within one month of hire. Preferred experience in patient care (EMT, Paramedic) and state-specific certifications (CNA, CPCT, EMT, AUA). Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement plans for eligible staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program
- Completion of Fundamentals of Nursing (verified by transcript)
- Submission of school-provided competency skills checklist
- Must remain in good standing with nursing program
- BLS certification within one month of hire
- Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing and walking, bend/kneel/squat/twist/reach
- Preferred certifications: CNA, CPCT, EMT, AUA (state-specific)
