Job Summary
Perform bedside nursing activities including bathing, grooming, ambulating, and turning patients on a 38-bed inpatient unit. Assist with additional procedures such as catheterizations, suctioning, and enemas under supervision. Requires enrollment in an accredited nursing program with graduation date of spring 2027 or later, plus current BLS certification. Part-time day shift from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and attending an accredited school of registered nursing
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing program
- Provide unofficial transcripts with application
- Graduation date of spring 2027 or later
- Enrollment in an (accredited) Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (BSN) or Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) Program
- Sign a BSN completion agreement upon hire/placement in a graduate nurse position (for ADN graduates)
- Required RN from another state awaiting Michigan Licensure
- Graduate Nurse from accredited school of nursing awaiting retake of NCLEX or awaiting results of the last exam
- Required Transcripts must be provided at the time of hire
- Required High School Diploma
- Evidence of successful completion of adult medical-surgical rotations – theory and clinical
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Or ARC American Red Cross
- Part time day, 7am - 7:30pm, every other weekend required
- Comply with MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
