Job Summary

Conduct personalized daily care for residents by assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and activities of daily living while encouraging independence. Respond promptly to call lights, assist with transfers, positioning, and ambulation, and obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, and weight. Observe guests for physical, behavioral, or emotional changes, communicate concerns to nurses, and document personal care accurately. Maintain clean care areas, support meal times, and follow infection-control and safety procedures. Work collaboratively with nurses, Med Techs, and therapy teams to support quality care in a post-acute rehabilitation setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant course
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Nebraska
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support CPR certification
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Ability to independently lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive sitting, bending, standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and movement as needed
  • Ability to safely assist guests and residents with transfers, ambulation, mobility, and personal care
  • Ability to be flexible, calm, and professional when working with guests, residents, or families in stressful situations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to utilize technology, electronic documentation systems, and clinical resources efficiently and effectively

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Nurse Tech, CNA, nursing assistant, caregiver, or similar direct-care role
  • Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, assisted living, hospital, or a similar healthcare setting
  • Strong communication skills with guests, residents, families, nurses, and other team members
  • Ability to recognize and promptly communicate changes in a guest or resident's condition
  • A compassionate and respectful approach to personal care
  • Strong attention to detail with care plans, vital signs, documentation, and safety
  • Dependability and consistent follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple resident needs while maintaining quality care
  • A calm, flexible, and professional approach in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Comfort using electronic documentation systems and healthcare technology
  • A team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
