Job Summary
Take vitals, check blood sugars, perform bed baths, ambulate patients, provide wound care, catheterize, and act as a safety attendant under RN supervision. Collect and report physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families. Ensure required documentation is performed accurately and timely. Work 36 weekly hours from 7:00am to 7:30pm on a day shift with every other weekend rotation. Join the 22 Neuroscience/Spine unit at Blodgett Hospital, specializing in stroke, spinal surgeries, and post-operative recovery care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Work Equivalent
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
- Must comply with MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Utilization of the NIHSS Stroke Scale
