Job Summary
Provide direct patient care by assisting with daily living activities, hygiene, feeding, and mobility while monitoring vital signs and reporting clinical changes. Support patient transitions through inventorying belongings, orienting families, and transporting patients between facilities. Manage supply inventory, perform equipment quality checks, and document all activities accurately to contribute to the interdisciplinary plan of care. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to strict scope-of-practice standards within the St. Alexius Medical Center network.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent work experience including ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology
- Current enrollment and in good standing in a full time Nursing Program such as an accredited Baccalaureate Nursing Program or RN Associate Degree program or LPN to RN nursing program
- Must be listed on a Nurse Assistant Registry operated by the North Dakota Board of Nursing, State Department and consolidated Laboratories by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
- If not on a registry, then must obtain placement on one immediately following orientation and training by St. Alexius Medical Center as stated in the policy 'Eligibility for Employment as Nurse Assistant'
- BLS or BLS instructor certification required upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Able to organize assignments and work under pressure
- Basic Life Support Certification within the orientation period and meets re-certification as required
